This privacy policy applies to the Arc Journal app (hereby referred to as “Application”) for mobile devices that was created by Phillip Pham (hereby referred to as “Service Provider”) as a Freemium service. This service is intended for use “AS IS”.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address: Used for account authentication and password recovery
• Name: Used to personalize your experience within the App
• Password: Securely hashed and encrypted (we cannot access your actual password)

Journal Content

When you use Arc Journal, you create:

• Journal entries: Text content you write in your journal
• Photos and videos: Photos and videos you attach to your journal entries
• Entry metadata: Creation dates, modification dates, and entry organization

Location Information

When you create a journal entry, Arc Journal may collect your device's location (GPS coordinates) if you choose to enable location tracking.

• How we use it: We use your location to tag journal entries with where they were created and to show your entries on a map.
• Your control: Location tracking is optional. You can enable or disable it at any time, and you can delete location data from any entry.
• We don't: We do not track your location in the background, share it with third parties, or use it for advertising.
• You can manage location permissions in your device Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Arc Journal.

Third-Party Services

Arc Journal uses the following third-party services:

• Cloud Hosting: For secure storage of your synced data
• Email Delivery: For sending password reset emails

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account:

• All your journal entries, photos and videos are permanently deleted from our servers
• Your account information is permanently deleted
• This action cannot be undone

For a better experience, while using the Application, the Service Provider may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information. The information that the Service Provider request will be retained by them and used as described in this privacy policy.

Children's Privacy

Arc Journal is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at phil@phillippham.com and we will delete it immediately.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
